Kings Swim School, a purpose-built facility dedicated to providing high-quality swimming education for students in Christchurch.
As the only swim school not open to the public in Christchurch and with complete control over our pool, we ensure that every student swims at the appropriate skill level. Our curriculum caters to a wide range of abilities, from beginners to advanced mini squads, ensuring that each child is challenged and engaged in their school swimming lessons.
We prioritise a safe and supportive environment, allowing students to build confidence and develop their skills at their own pace. With experienced instructors and a focus on individual progress, we are committed to helping every swimmer reach their full potential.

Personalised Assessments
Before students start their lessons, we send a questionnaire to parents to gather essential information, which helps us place each child in the right class based on their skill level. We manage the administration of allocating students to their appropriate classes, hopefully easing some of the administrative work for busy teachers.
Small Class Sizes
We prioritise quality instruction by keeping class sizes small, allowing for personalised attention from our experienced instructors. During the first two days, we conduct our own assessments to confirm placement and make adjustments as needed.
Not open to the public for lane swimming
Our facility is private and not open to the public during school swimming lessons. We prioritise the safety and well-being of our students, ensuring that we are fully aware of who is in the facility at all times, especially during changing times.
Low Chlorine Levels
Our Kings pool features lower chlorine levels compared to other pools, thanks to our unique UV filters. This is especially beneficial for children with sensitive skin and skin conditions, providing a more comfortable swimming experience.
Large Changing Rooms
We offer spacious changing rooms that can comfortably accommodate full classes, making it easy for parents or teachers to assist children. Each large changing room includes showers and toilets for rinsing off after swimming. Additionally, we have private changing rooms available for those who need them.
Advanced Training Opportunities
For students who demonstrate higher skill levels, we create mini squads that provide specialised training to help them excel further.
Modern Facility
Our new, fit-for-purpose swimming facility features ample seating for families and spectators, ensuring everyone can comfortably watch students during their swimming lesson.
Convenient Access
We offer easy bus access and parking, with designated drop-off and pick-up located right at the front door.
