With 20+ years in swim education and 40 years in teaching, Pam has been a dedicated member of the Swim Coaches and Teachers Association. A former primary school teacher and Assistant Principal, she holds a Bachelor of Teaching, Diploma in Educational Management, and a Small Business Certificate. Pam is passionate about inclusivity and currently works in co-ordinating Learning Support in a local school. Pam’s warm, nurturing approach helps students of all ages build confidence and water safety skills at Kings Swim School.
Todd Mason is the Head Coach of the Vikings Club and co-owner/director of Kings Swim School. He brings over 40 years of swimming expertise. A former National Age Group Coach and 2004 Athens Olympic Team coach, Todd is a recognised ‘carded coach’ with the NZ Academy of Sport and holds a SNZ Level Three certification. He is a Life Member of the NZ Swim Coaches & Teachers Assocociation. Passionate about water safety and skill development, Todd creates a positive, professional environment for swimmers of all levels.
Nick Woolley joined Kings Swim School in 2016 with a strong passion for reducing New Zealand’s drowning rates. Dedicated to ensuring the Kings programme is inclusive and accessible for all children and families, Nick has been instrumental in leading the construction of the new pool. He takes great pride in seeing it used daily, knowing it provides a safe, welcoming space for everyone to learn and enjoy swimming. Nick is strong leader and welcomes feedback from our customers.
Anita moved to New Zealand in 2016 with her family, bringing over 10 years of experience in the swimming industry. At Kings Swim School, she oversees programme development and staff training, ensuring every lesson is engaging and effective. You’ll often find Anita poolside, offering helpful tips to staff, preparing swimming programmes, and setting up for each day. Her dedication and expertise helps create a seamless, enjoyable experience for both students and instructors.
Babies and Preschool Coordinator
Jess started at Kings Swim School 16 years ago as a part-time team member before taking over the babies programme. Instrumental to its success, she has a natural ability to connect with babies and loves seeing the parent-baby bond grow in the pool. Her skills in helping little ones feel comfortable in the water are second to none, and she passionately mentors the Kings instructors to achieve the same level of care and expertise.
Having been a Kings parent for 16 years, she finally joined the team after years of encouragement. With four children in the programme, including Vikings squad members, she understands the joys and challenges of managing multiple siblings in swimming lessons. Her firsthand experience helps her work out lesson logistics with ease, ensuring families have a smooth and enjoyable experience at Kings Swim School.
Cody has learnt to swim through Kings Swim School and has a deep understanding of swimming, making him a versatile team member. He often steps in to teach at any level, ensuring that every swimmer is ready to progress with proper technique and precision. With a keen eye poolside, Cody offers valuable guidance and support to both swimmers and instructors. He has been a dedicated part of the Kings Swim School family for 5 years, contributing to and making a lasting impact on the programme.
Veronica’s love for swimming and her natural talent make her a perfect fit for Kings Swim School. With a sharp eye for technique and a warm, encouraging approach, she helps swimmers of all levels build confidence and skill in the water. Whether she’s teaching or supervising, Veronica’s focus is always on progress—making sure every swimmer feels supported and every lesson runs seamlessly. Her dedication and expertise make her a trusted and valued member of the Kings team.
Will has been teaching at Kings Swim School for four years, where his ability to connect with children at every level truly shines. His calm, gentle yet firm approach brings out the best in every swimmer, helping them grow in confidence and skill. With a keen eye for technique, Will ensures each child develops the abilities they need to become water-wise and strong swimmers, making him a popular and trusted instructor at Kings.
